We don't have any openings behind the tv, but we did notice that it is quite warm inside the cabinets on either side of the tv from all the electronic components that are in there and always on when we are parked. We leave the cabinet doors ajar so the heat can escape. Haven't noticed cold except from the windshield itself. We put up curtains that have an energy backing on them to help with both heat and cold from the windshield.
