Back in the day when this craze first started the magic word was WARM WHITE. Back then the concept was replace the incandescent HOT bulbs with small LED boards...
I got these from ebay china for $4.99 each or 10 for $45.00
They are still working in my ceiling fixtures...

All of the american made were very expensive and most often included the built-in regulator circuit that would cause RFI interference with HDTV TV signals, WX RADIO signals, and HAM RADIO signals etc... If you some installed now go to OTA TV and see hows your work with your HDTV. Mine HDTV would blank off and then time out to the BLUE SCREEN. Turn off the lights and it would jump back to working again... IT was worse when using the OTA Antenna which probably has a weaker signal than coming in from the CABLE TV hookup...
This is the COMMAND ELECTRONICs LED BOARDS I purchase a bunch of which interfered with my Radio Electronics. You can see the REGULAR parts mounted close to the cable connections... I gave all of these away...

There were only a few companies back then that actually made a direct replacement for the incandescent bulbs... This is in the 2008 2009 time era...
The trick for me after loosing my shirt haha was to just buy one and try it out first then buy 10 or 20 of them...
Being a big time OFF-ROAD CAMPER replacing the Incandescent bulbs for LEDs is a must thing to do.. The only down side for us was the Incandescent Bulbs did give off alot of heat and that actually helped in the cool nights... When I removed the fixtures to install the LED BOARDs everyone of the ceilings was scorched behind the fixtures from too much heat being generated. Kinda scary to me not knowing this...
