Help with our Furnace Please

Hey Everyone,
I have a 1984 Hi-Lo and our furnace has stopped working. The furnace is actually only a couple years old as I had previously replaced it. The furnace is a Suburban NT (I don't remember if it was 16 or 20).

The issue just started one day. Turn on the thermostat and nothing happens. So I checked the breakers, they were flipped. Checked the fuses and one was bad. Fixed both issues and still nothing. No blower motor, nada.

Any ideas on what I should check? I'm really not wanting to put another furnace in.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Thanks so much for the responses and the link gentleman. I am pretty sure there isn't power to the furnace. There is power to everything else in the trailer. Given that the fuse was blown and the breakers tripped I am guessing something went sideways. I guess I will have to break out the multimeter and start at it that way. Thank you much!
  • Batteries? You need 12 volt power for the thermostat and controls to work.

It sure does sound as though the furnace isn't getting power or the thermostat isn't properly calling for heat. Either one should be fairly straightforward to check with a multimeter. I'm assuming you otherwise have 12V power available in the RV--that is, the lights work, etc.; if not, then that's your more basic problem.
