Well it would seem you didn't take advantage of those links I provided earlier because if you had one of them led directly to jauguston's rv.net forum discussion about the engineering principles that led to his own EU1000i quiet box design. In that discussion he also talks about temperatures inside the box. Secondly, in looking at your pic it's clear that by not sealing tightly against the genset's exhaust bezel you're not recognizing the importance of keeping cooking intake air, hot engine air, and hot exhaust gas completely separate from each other. It's a common mistake, one that those with an open frame generator can't avoid, but one you can avoid if you follow jauguston's design parameters. I did and as a result I know his reasoning is sound.
