how to keep kid in bunk bed

Hey guys. Looking at putting our 10 year old daughter in a bunkhouse bunk bed. She is a restless sleeper and dont want her to fall out. Any ideas on how to keep her in the bunk?

  • 2x on the duct tape..

actually when I had simple bunks I found (at babys r us of all places) slide in rail sides. With my TH the bunk is so big, I have had one fall out (lower bunk) in 40+ nights... And that was between the rear edge of the bunk, and the cargo door. I wouldn't have put a rail there before he went over the side.
  • For our sons 5wheel. Hubby made rails for the bunks. He screwed them into the bottom of the bed and again into the side of the wardrobe.

As said already, there are various places you can buy a reasonably priced railing.
  • I was thinking duct tape.

A rail is probably the easiest and most effective, shy of duct tape.
  • Rope?

    Just kidding.....

This is an example of homemade bunk bed rails...slips under mattress.

Ikea sells this clamp on style by VIKARE.....LINK
