Do NOT count on your engine alternator
fully recharging a set of deep discharge batteries. To do that you need "adequate" solar power and a GOOD solar charge controller and a generator and a GOOD charger. Most converter/charges do NOT do a good job or recharging a deep discharge battery bank.
A 500W pure sine wave inverter is more than enough. See if you can find a 12VDC power supply for your laptop. A couple of 12VDC fans are a good idea and don't forget to change all of the light bulbs to LEDs !
