Keeping fridge doors shut while traveling

Looking for ideas! Maybe a latch designed for a sailboat fridge door?

I have a 15yo Dometic fridge with top freezer - so two doors - one top - one bottom.

Been driving on Baja roads for years and had continuous problem with doors flying open while driving on dirt and/or potholed paved roads.

Can't believe the mickey-mouse latches they have on RV fridge doors - ridiculous!:(

Obviously bungee cords would work - but no good attachment points.

Any comments/ideas gratefully accepted. TIA
  • I have seen homemade ones here and in other threads, that seem to do fine, and look like this, which you can purchase--

This one is available on Amazon for about $8. Thinking of getting one for myself.
    That's the ticket!
Wrong! Does not fit on my RV fridge. I should have known better.
  • I used 4 screw in eye bolts, two top and two lower and just put a bungee cord across top and bottom. Stays closed fine then
