Box of 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel hardware from McMaster-Carr (http://www.mcmaster.com/#). Very expensive. This box would have paid for just about any other bike rack, but I do have pieces left over. The bag of little, black bolt-end caps contains 100 pieces. I used four. You can buy this stuff in smaller packages at a hardware store. I don't like rusty bolts:"
I have learned to dislike any mild steel fastener on or in my MoHo and I have about 8 or 10 #s of various SS fasteners and miscellaneous thingys. Before I retired our Stores Division was throwing a lot of old stuff in the garbage, I picked up a tremendous amount in the 10-32, 8-32 and 1/4-20 sizes and about 400, #6 x 3/4" sheet metal screws and a pound or two of nuts, washers and a few eye bolts.
I bought a hundred #8 x 3/4" Sheet metal screws and #10 sheet metal screws when I detailed the outside 3 or 4 years ago. I have sience purchased another box of 100 each of the #8 & #10's. You;ll find used for them.
Nice job, makes me wish I could still mountain bike.
