I upgraded mine with panels that are 24 LED's on each panel, and they are 5050 emitters. (5.0MM square). They cost me $1.20 each when I bought 50. I removed the wires to the factory twist in bulb holder, and wired in the panels. They are a lot more blue than I like but save a lot of energy. I am sure that they now sell a warmer (more red than blue tint to the light) LED now.
I have 4 of the panels in my porch light and it consumes a total of 0.6 amps at 12 volts, and provides about 4X the light of the old 1.1 amp incandescent bulb.
At one point, in 2013, I posted it would be less expensive to buy a 100 watt solar panel and install it, than to convert my energy hog incandescent lights to LED's at $10 per fixture. The price has come down to reasonable now!
I also used to recommend only changing the most used lights, instead of "All" of them. If you don't run it more than 5 minutes per trip, it is not worth changing it. This includes most basement lights, except perhaps the one near the sewer hookup.
Have fun camping!
Fred.
