Nice work, I'm a huge fan of those lights too. A couple of things I've found useful with them:
The adhesive back is always pretty useless, and its a pain to spread silicone, so I use
this double sided tape which is the perfect size.
And
these dimmers work really well with these lights.
I use those as the only switch (dim all the way to turn it off), I haven't measured to see if there's a micro amount of power used in their wait state but no biggie if you have solar. Another nice thing about that dimmer is you can open the box and build the dial into other things since its just a single pot on the end of a length of wire leading to the tiny circuit board.
