Looking for the best hole filler on the inside of our RV

My wife is determined to remove the day/night shades and paint the walls of our 2 year old RV. The shade hardware needs to be removed and the holes filled. What suggestions do you have? I am thinki...

For small holes in wood I would ...

1. Stuff in several pieces of tooth picks dipped in wood glue with a little sticking out

2. A day later I sand flat

3. Finish appropriately
