I made a "foam sandwich" to mount my pump on - plywood on both sides of 2" of soft foam put together with construction adhesive. It made only a little difference and, in retrospect, padding the hoses is what needs to be done. That pex is pretty hard stuff and will rattle up a storm if it gets next to or up against something.
