The way my reflectors are might help me with the heat. They ar concave in the middle where the bulb should go so there is some space behind the panel in the middle. That also means the edges are off the base by a bit allowing air movement there too. We will see.
Looking at the panel, I think there will be enough room on the sides to drill a tiny hole and screw the panel to the reflector. That or tap a tiny screw thru the reflector on both sides so that the heads hold the panel in place.
