My panels have the 3M tape but I haven't had one fall yet. That might be because I boondock and never charge at night so the panels never run at higher voltages, raising their temperatures like others have had issues with.
Getting just cobb style would have made that a none issue but the panels are already up so unless they fail, I'm stuck with them and hopefully they stay stuck where they are.
