Real ignorant question here! Several folks commented about the heat from the LED. Are they really that hot? I don't boondock and only rarely use lights without being plugged in power, so power usage isn't big concern. I was considering switching to LED to cut down on heat from original lamps. The one over the bed gets so hot, it almost burns my head if I try to read in bed more than 2-3 minutes. One over sofa is slightly further away, but does get hot shining on head and shoulders for long. So are the LEDs lots cooler? Are they worth the cost to reduce heat?
