You should be able to find a 12 VDC pump that has garden hose fittings on it. Or use a 12 VDC pump with 1/2" fittings and buy the correct adapters at your local hardware store. Home Depot has them.

Of course your local Tractor Supply or hardware store might have something that is close by and no shipping costs.
For a full time RV, I was considering a fresh water tank in the towed vehicle, and then go out and fill the 35 - 55 gallon tank while out sightseeing to add another week or two of dry camping between visits to the campgrounds to dump the main tanks.
