6300 is a poor converter and is obsolete by todays standards. I will disagree with the internet and say that the sooner your 6300 fails and you can update the better. In fact I would not even wait for failure to replace the 6300.

35 amp is fine for one/two batteries. Check the battery charge wire size before going larger.
