It has been said here dozens of times, 6V golf cart batteries are your best bang for the buck ! 2 would be good. If you boondock a lot and do not have a method of recharging you battery bank every day, then you should have 4.

There was a thread on 6 vs 12. I didnt know there was a voltage drop issue with 6 volts.
Plus that guys post was hi jacked so I started a new one here with a test I did.
Im going to run the batts down to 75% SOC and try my test again with the toaster oven. The micro wave is kind of over my inverter limit..
Its been raining here a few days so when it clears I will test some things more..
Im surprised I even got it to run the first time..
