IMO, unless you are a fulltimer, there isn't much need for one.
We just installed our Splendide 2100xc about a month ago. Slid it on a ladder to get it up the steps, then both of us moved it into its spot in the closet.
Used the hold down brackets that are less than $10 on Amazon to secure it by two feet.
We rented a 4" hole saw and drilled away. The scary part was drilling a hole in the side of the coach, but all in all, It was a pretty simple process.
If your unit is new, it will have a mark where to drill the hole.
