I do believe disc brakes are a very worthwhile investment. I also believe drum brakes for large trailers should be obsolete. However the reality is drum brakes are not obsolete even though they are inferior vs. disc brakes.
I do not believe you need to upgrade to disc brakes just because you are upgrading your suspension.
Sure it would be nice to upgrade to disc, but the reality is they are 2 different systems.
It is still worthwhile to upgrade brakes or suspension without upgrading both.
