I have a Coachmen class A and want to mount a 100lb mini-split to the rear wall. Is this too much weight? I know some people use a hitch carrier but ours is occupied. And this RV has no square bumper to put mounts on.I would use one of these wall mount kits. What's occupying your hitch carrier? Might be able to get a shop to weld up something that will hold the air/con and the bikes (?).I wouldn't trust the walls. In a house, they drill into the 2x4 studs. RVs don't have anything like that.

I would advise against doing so.

Maybe if you through bolted the brackets and run steel plates 4' long across the interior wall to spread the load across 4 studs. Yea....that ain't gonna happen....

It will be 100 pounds when it's stationary. When it's bouncing down the road it will increase.Those brackets will probably tear out of the wall.

I have a friend that mounted his to his rear bumper. He was more than impressed with the units performance.

That's a conventional air conditioner with a heat pump for winter but I really need to save electrical costs so I'll think of something. Maybe weld mounts down into the frame, I dunno.
