Mounted RV Grills

I am a Weber Q dude. I have 2 gas & 1 charcoal. Just purchased a new 5th wheel that came with a grill & a bumper mount.

Question #1 - are those grills that come with campers anygood? I think it is an RV500 or something.

#2 - is there anyone who has used the mount and mounted a Weber Q?

Thanks.
  • I have my Weber Q200 series mounted to my rear bumper. I bought the swing mount from billsbumperq.com Great and very strong system. My camper did not have an option from the factory.

If your are Weber Q dude, you will NOT like the RV500 grill. It is the cheapest grill that would come with a trailer.

That was what I was expecting to read. Thanks

Anyway to use the mount with a weber q?
  • I had one.

It STILL gets grease and smoke all over the back end of your RV.
It may be away from the back end but any wind sends it up and all over the back end and the grease spits that far with or without any wind.
I used it once and took it off.

Just saying IMHO I didn't like the mess. And I like my fires/heat/grease way way far away from my RV.

  • Sorry, i am talking about the rear bumber mounted arm that swings out & away from the rv. Not those that slide on a rv mounted wall bracket.

    Sorry for the mix up

I was leary of mounting a grill to the side of my trailers. I would be afraid of sitting something on fire or having alot of smoke and greese accumulate on the side of the trailer.

We use the COLEMAN ROAD TRIP setup here which stands alone away from the trailer wall...

I have two of those provided grills mounts still in their original boxes sitting in the garage hehe... I was thinking I would modify them into a table mount on the side of the trailer some day...

    Just my thoughts here...
