New Gear and Technology

With all of the manufacturers that are out there, there is a incredible amount of new technology and gear that is out there. What is some of the cool new stuff that you have and use on your rig? Share some pics and brag!
  • I know this isn't anything "new", but for me, it's all night and day going from a 2003 Prowler that was only 22' long to a 2019 Rockwood that is only 26' long, but just the main seating alone is the best thing since sliced bread for me!

Here is the old seating arrangement after converting the dinette setup for a "couch" type setup in the 2003.. It was a breakthrough at the time!

Then we got this in the 2019.. Theater seats with back massage, butt warmer and the center console has tons of storage and power outlets and faces the 36" flat screen TV!

And pretty much everything else in the 2019 is 'new' to us!

Also, my 2013 F150 Ecoboost runs circles over the old 97 F150 with a 5.4 in every single category! Both are XLT's, but dang.. The 2013 is way more tech than I need! :)

  • Butt warmers?!?! Niiiiicccce! Upgrades can always be a good thing, then you're changing for what you want. Thanks for sharing.
  • 2022 SuperDuty RTFW!!! Truck has an integrated yaw sensor, TPMS, and wired rear camera all mounted on the 5th wheel. I can monitor the rear camera while driving down the road. Trailer, the self leveling feature works extremely well. All the LED lights sip electrons and don't heat up in the process
  • Lithium batteries. I went from Lead Acid to AGM and now lithium are amazing. Hold a charge a long time, don’t degrade in storage, and deliver more of their amp hours of full power so that I can run an inverter off just 210 ah. Hope they last as long as advertised.
  • The keyless entry lock I installed in 2020 is a very nice upgrade. Here's a video of it.

Global Link is the OEM supplier of locks for a lot of RVs now. I also bought compartment door locks that match the entry lock, so everything is keyed alike.

Last year I installed a 8" tablet to run the Victron Connect Bluetooth app which monitors/controls my inverter and BMV-712 Monitor Here's the process of installing and using it.
