Order in the van

Hello everybody. We have a very old van and I would like to rebuild it so that you can travel with it. In the hold I would like to install shelves to better store accessories and luggage. I thought of such shelf: https://www.sortimo.com/vehicle-device/van-racking-solutions/sortimo-globelyst/ Does anyone have experience with it? It is actually for craftsmen, but I could well imagine that it is also suitable for camping. Thanks for your tips. :D
  • I'm sure it is great but also expensive. Since you have "a very old van" I would think you might want options that were less expensive.

You can find used craftsman van shelving, usually about a hundred bucks total for a set. Place a wanted ad on the u-build section of Sportsmobile or Expedition Portal forum, and check local craigslist.
  • The one in the picture has way too many small compartments IMO. It loses space to all the dividers.
  • Marius,

While the idea is good, the cost is not economic.

    You need to get:
Shelves - Big box of choice
Bins - possibly with covers - Walmart, Menards......
Bungy straps - so bins don't slide on the first turn - Hazard Fright

    Good Luck

    Matt
  • Have you looked at the prices on this stuff? Three or four of these small shelf units could be worth more than your very old van.
