Look at the way the existing valve set is installed. The water connections are horizontal, not vertical as would be needed for the faucet you chose. You would have to drill new holes in the "box" and plug the old ones somehow. Hopefully there is enough extra PEX behind the box to reach the new mounting position, or you will need to extend them. I think putting a dish sprayer head on the end of the hose instead of the shower head is the best suggestion.
It isn't obvious but look closely, the faucet pictured is wall mount.
