Outside Shower

I want to install a outside shower in my travel trailer. I have a spot in mind, but it is directly above the vent for the water heater. Is it going to be a problem with the heat coming from the vent ?
thanks for any help.

  • You probably could run pvc pipe to where ever you want to mount the shower.Just zip tie the pipe to the frame, maybe install some shut off valves near the tap in place in case the pipe gets damaged on the road,or go with pipe clamps for a better look. Just tap into a water source some where
  • thanks everyone, completely forgot about the door opening down. rethinking. have clear shot on the right rear of the rv. any thoughts..
  • I have seen where someone did this and the plastic housing of the outside shower melted. I can't remember if it was the furnace or the water heater. In either case, I'd be careful about putting it there.
  • The door on a standard outside shower will not withstand that location if open. BTDT and have a new shower unit to prove it.
  • Hi tachdriver, thanks for the reply but not sure what you are saying. The space above the water heater is in a closet. I can see the outside wall where I want to place the shower. My main concern is the amount of heat given off from the vent outside . thanks
  • Can you put your hand on the inside above it? IF not you are good to go, just be sure the clearance to electrical wires and other plumbing.
