I just installed my new Oxygenics shower head and the supplied shut off trickles about a cup in 20 seconds. Has anyone else had this problem? I was getting ready to try their online support, but was wondering if I should just go to Lowes and see if I can get a better shut off.Jeff

From what i read it is a safey issue to avoid super hot water coming out when turned back on.

That's why I thought I would post it on here first. I did have a miss print on my OP it trickles a cup in 20 seconds not minutes. So it may be a safety feature? They think of everything. Jeff

I installed a brass shut off valve, one found at lowes or Home Depot. We love it ! Water temp is always perfect when we turn it on!

But yet their will be products made that override this safety feature and people to buy it. Some folks don't have a clue until they or a small child get the******burnt out of them because of some adults blatant disregard. You gotta love some folks and their thinking process.:S

Love my Oxygenics. It's night and day over that piece of junk that came with the trailer. Yep, mine trickles.

Actually, I like this shut off trickle. When dry camping I use this feature to conserve water when I take a shower.

Yeah, it dribbles but we always used to run the water into the toilet to get hot water before showering. Now because it dribbles I have to waste the water into the shower or mop up the floor. You know you never get enough water into the toilet tank., BTW love the shower head.

The head is intentionally designed to trickle water. This prevents scalding when you activate the valve. This is clearly stated in Oxygenics FAQ's in their website.

I believe the Oxygenics is designed to leave a dribble to keep the mixing valves in a constant flow which eliminates either the scalding hot or freeze when you turn the flow back on. This also allows you to rinse your hands enough to twist the water flow back on. Try fumbling with the shower head with soap running in your eyes and your hands all soapy and you'll appreciate the dribble. :)

Use THIS ONE it shuts off water completely ,and is easier to use with soapy hands that the ones with the handle like the others.

As it was designed to do. I still love the shower head, supposedly there are cuts offs out there that do indeed completely shut off the water.

Yes. This is what we added. I prefer to have the shower turn all the way off, while in conserve mode.
