I've done this a handful of times and have spray equipment so the work goes fast.
An alternative to painting the cabinets might be to strip, bleach and refinish in a lighter tone. Due to the way most cabinets are finished, today, with a spray urethane or catalyzed lacquer, it would be necessary to sand off or chemically remove the existing finish. This is usually beyond the scope of most homeowners or RV'ers.
