Praise for the lowly toilet riser

I know it is not a major mod or upgrade, but it is the one I appreciate the most. My toilet riser.

I have removed carpet and resurfaced floors, fixed slide mechanism, and re-balanced the slide on the rails, reinforced shower basin supports, removed dinette, couch, and queen bed, fixed and re-roofed the front 1/3 of 5er, fixed steps, fixed and painted the door, added skid proofing to the steps, replaced faucets, built beds, tables, and shelves, replaced landing gear (twice), fixed and replaced the refrigerator twice, and installed an additional 120V small refrig., replace most all of the windows, fixed both vents and added vent hoods, and fan, added 12V fans to Refrig and Refrig vent, I do my own wheel bearings, flipped the axles, replaced the voltage converter, rewired the 7 way plug (three times), removed fixed and replaced the hotwater heater and the forced air heater, made and installed my own hotwater heater bypass, installed my own rear view camera, and some other things I am forgetting......

BUT the riser is the best.

Thought I would share by favorite mod.
  • post is almost useless without Pictures :-)
  • I added one recently and now my knees are HAPPY. Here is mine. 2.5" and what a difference for $35.00 a couple of fittings & pc of pex. 20 min.

  • Wow, all that talent and the toilet riser is your fave? I didn't even know they made risers--looks like another nice mod for us knee knockers. Thanks!

I'm not the OP just read his post and I have a pic of mine and yes it is great for my old worn out knees. I have been without an acl & half the miniscus in one knee for almost 30 yrs and this thing was well worth the money for me. Would be great for those tall fellas also. I was gonna get a new tall toilet but this gave me another half inch more than a new $150.00 toilet for $35.00. Total height now is 18.5" I think it is made by Thetford. maybe Camco, can't remember.

I figured everyone already knew what a toilet riser for an RV was, I guess not. Here is the link if anyone wants one PPL parts store

Thanks for the picture and I notice we both chose the same linoleum pattern for the bathroom floor.
  • That flooring is throughout my toy hauler. Easy to clean. Never want carpet again. Only carpet is on the steps going up to bath & bedroom & around the bed. That is too much bit it will do.

Agree and it is easy to put down.
  • I have one (riser) in my rig along with a 19 inch tall toilet - Thetford Bravura tall. The total height is 21 inches. Works great.

The S&B house we bought and live in now, came with round short toilets. I replaced one with a 17 1/2 inch elongated one. Much better.

Would have installed taller ones but could not find any even with a lot of research. I bet they make some taller ones but none of the company sites or Google searches came up with any.

At the time I didn't think to look for under the toilet risers and didn't see them anywhere but a Google search now shows at least two. That is what I will use for the toilet in the guest bathroom.

    HERE is one of them.
