Our articulating TV arm has a thumb screw on top of the mounting pin/stud that we twist off to remove LED TV. No way TV can fall on it's own while doing so since mount attached to TV is resting on stud pin when removing thumbscrew. To remount we simply pop TV on mounting stud with no need to hold in place and install thumbscrew. Your setup works equally well.
