Anybody try using the LED's on the outside spot lights on their toyhauler? Are they bright enough? Is there a bigger panel size for the outside?
I recently bought a slew of the 48 panel size to replace all of my interior lights.
Earlier in the thread I posted a link to a 120 LED cob style light for $5 listed as a fog light I believe. That is what I hope to try on our next trip. I think a cob style would avoid any heat issues with the tape holding the panels up.
Unfortunately August is looking like as much of a bust for camping as July was.
Jim.
Thank you for the info in this thread. I have read it several times and saw the one about the 120 size, but not the link (other than the original, but saw no 120 size on their website...yet).
I have been holding off with the LED exchanged due to the higher price, but after this thread, I decided to "try" them out. I will not receive them for a week or so and will have to wait for our next trip (not slated until Sept now...just returned from a week in Mammoth).
I thought for sure I had posted this link, this old age stuff is going to get to me one of these days.
here is the link to the 120 cob style

I will not get the chance to try one till I go out in September.
Jim.
Thanks again. I will have to try these out. I got 6 of the outside spotlights on my RV. I dont need them as bright as the original. Just enough to light some of the area up in the pitch darkness of the desert or forest we camp. For $30.00, it's worth the try
