Reflective Caution Tape

After almost getting rear-ended by someone not paying attention (I was in the far right lane), I decided to apply some self-adhesive reflective tape to the rear. Don't know if it will help, but it sure won't hurt!

  • How about using a white color reflective tape that blends with the RV color? I use them on the inside of our car door panels. Adds a little extra safety when opening the car door on a busy street at night. Plus the tape doesn't stand out and look bad.
  • My take on this:
If someone can't see the back of a full sized RV, then reflective tape isn't going to help...

Maybe something like this on the back of our rigs...maybe.

  • No, it sure won't hurt. But I don't want my trailer looking like a construction zone. I'll take my chances without the tape and hope I don't end up in a destruction zone.

There is no sure way to protect ourselves from idiots on the road. Texting while driving? Some people have been caught on camera reading a news paper while driving. :R
