Look up travel trailer table flanges. I know these are still available.
Many RVs had a dinette/bed and the table was on a post that could be removed. There were flanges in the floor (you had better investigate what is underneath first) and on the bottom of the table and a post. When wanted, the table could be lifted and the post removed and set back down so the table rested on the seat edges and became part of the temporary bed. That might be a good answer.
