Hello Durhamcutter. I replaced my spring and shock hangers on my 1990 chevy PU. It is alot easier if you remove the PU bed from the chassis. It is not hard but time consuming. The hangers are held on by rivets and are hsrdened. I used an air chissel but if I had one I would have used a cutting torch. The hardest thing was getting the replacement hangers from chevy. It took alot of research by the parts guy and nobody wanted to take the time. Finally found one dealer who's part gut liked a challenge and after about a week he had ordered the rear spring and shock mounts. I reattached them with grade 8 bolts. Good luck nm1oqrz
