I just bought one of these to try out as a foot warmer, when sitting at the computer:

If it works like it's supposed to, I may buy another one, or one half that size, for heating the fridge cabinet. I was thinking I could hook it up to one of those thermocubes.
I looked at those motorcycle grip hand warmers, as well, and seat heaters, and dog warming pads, and such.
As for Ebay, I have bought countless items. Yes, some are crap, but so is pretty much any cheapo item, regardless of where you buy it. And to be fair, I just recently gave a neutral feedback on an item (not negative, but neutral), and the seller insisted I take a 75% rebate, so his rating would not be affected, so apparently Ebay comes down pretty hard on this sort of thing. And yes, there is buyer protection on Ebay purchases. And to top that, I can usually buy the same item for the same price, or less usually, and free shipping, from a china based Ebay seller, compared to buying from a u.s. based Ebay seller.
