Invest in a hybrid inverter/charger such as Victron or Outback. Add an autoformer to keep the shore power voltage up in the safe zone.
I did modify my ride so that I have the OEM 30, an auxiliary 20, and 15 amp shore powers.
I'm currently in a Casino parking lot--their free RV park (30 amp outlets) can't be used (ground too soft) so I'm using the OEM 30 limited to 13 amps, and the 15 amp auxiliary. I'm warm as toast.
