Yes mine is a tub. I would think it would work for a pan as well just would need the full lenght of the curtain.

The original curain was fastened to the ceiling on a rail so it could not be used. I just bought a standard curtain from Walmart and had to shorten it by about 5" and cut about 16" off the lenght as to not have to much curtain bunched up that was not needed.

Yes gives you more room in the shower when needed. And more space outside the shower when not using.
