I always thought these models were cool trailers but the interiors could certainly use some upgrades. I'm not sure I would have been so radical in the demolition...I would have likely left the bed and the slide mechanism it was covering.
Thanks BurbMan. I am eager to move on to the next phase too. Hopefully I'll be able to put more time in in a few weeks.
Most of the work done so far is cosmetic. I will be replacing those bathroom walls with stouter walls, as well as beefing up the structure under the stairs and bathroom floor. I think my biggest issue will be added weight, and making sure it's balanced.
As for the bed, it had to go! It was a rookie mistake not to realize the HappiJac was under it, but even if I had realized the obvious, it would not have deterred me. If anyone knows the best space-saving mechanism to replace it with, I'd appreciate suggestions.
