Skylight

I need to replace a skylight, While shopping around for a replacement I have found them on ebay for about $40. My three local RV shops want $111. That is a big price difference, has anyone bought one of the ebay skylights? Do they last?

  • Some skylights a made from cheap plastic and are a waste of money. If you are going to do the work it takes get a good quality one and only do it once. But it will cost a bit more. However you will only need to replace it once..

We get them here. Never had any problems with them. clicky

CW is now installing anything for just $29.

Saw that too. Have the flyer. I will get them to install a second Fantastic fan in my dining room area.

yes, they do have quality skylights, I installed one. Nice and thick and very well made and much much stronger than most OEM replacements. However, before getting one from this source I think there are three things to be aware of.

    1) the "smoke" skylight is not as dark as most OEM skylights.
    2) the "dome" isn't as tall, so it might cause a clearance issue with the inner clear dome on some skylights.
    3) you'll need to drill your own holes, they don't come pre drilled. To drill holes it's best to use a drill bit made especially for plastic so you don't accidentally end up with a crack.

Mine had just barely enough clearance.
