If what you want is a platform sliding on rails of some sort, that sure sounds like it wouldn't be too tricky to fabricate. A couple of aluminum angles and a piece of 1/4" plywood, for example, might serve the purpose very nicely.
I have a sliding shelf (not attached to the ceiling of the compartment, but riding on rails attached to the sides) in my Coachmen RV. It's basically just this, covered in carpet, and with a very simple pin mechanism to lock it in place--just a pin with a loop to pull it that engages a hole in the shelf and a matching hole in the angle. Very simple and practical.
