Soap Dispenser

Hopefully this would work.

When I bought this TT I ended up buying a wire hanging rack and populating it every time I made camp and had to take it down when I left. I found this on Amazon.com, a soap dispenser that is glued with silicone at the back.

The entire unit slides on and off a plastic rack that is glued to the shower stall. I just store the dispenser standing up in a plastic tub in case it leaks or gets tipped over.

Now I just keep this filled up and have one thing to put up and take down :)

Well, for DW it was easy! Right before we left house to go out in the middle of nowhere - I hopped in the back, tossed the bars out in the driveway, then headed on out. When she discovered there was no bar soap, "oh I am so sorry honey! I guess I forgot to throw some more in! Here - use this!"
  • Simple, just buy liquid.
    :B

I like it since it does not seem to build up soap scum. I hate soap scum....

  • I bought one for our Class C at Bed Bath and Beyond. Works great! I installed it per the instructions with the provided silicone, let it sit for 24 hours before filling and no problems at all. Great not having to think about stowing bottles and bars of soap when on the road. We have traveled from Va. to Yellowstone and are on our way home and it is still securely in place. I will remove it from it's rack and store indoors during the winter.
  • That was the key for me, no chasing of soap bars.

FWIW, i have this theory that soap from bars create more soap scum that is harder to clean than liquid soap, my theory may be wrong, that's why i went with liquid.

I agree that a change in temperature during storage would make it necessary to maybe remove it from the TT until next use....
  • When we had our 5er I looked at those several times and wondered how they would work out in the long haul. When we got our TC (used), it had a one of those (just not the same make/model.) I suspect it had not been used from some time (due to the soap had half dried up in the tanks). I removed the tanks, flushed them out with water, flushed the valves out with water and it works.

DW and I think they are great! No messes, no chasing shampoo bottles, no chasing bars of soap.

Got a smaller single dispenser for the kitchen sink after the bottle of dish soap fell on its side, then emptied itself in the cabinet under the sink due to the change in temperature.
