Parallel batteries don't have a main battery normally. For balanced wiring the interconnecting cables should be the same size and length. Then ALL external cabling goes to the + of one battery and the - of the other battery.
I believe you were describing balanced for the solar wiring and I wasn't sure if the remaining wire was balanced. ALL of the wiring should be balanced. Here are 2 common RV battery setups with balanced wiring.
