Good plan and the panels meeting your needs is what counts.
Most would add a few feet of wire to reduce shadows. A dab of Dicor every few feet will hold the wires in place. Flat raised panels do not have any additional lift and a spoiler is not needed. I would question the installation of panels that came off due to highway traffic wind. Just my thoughts.
