The charge controller should connect direct to the battery. It appears that what you calling a converter is an inverter.
Converter converts 120V to 12V that the RV uses.
An inverter converts 12v to 120V that can be used for smaller use such as TV, Cell phone charger, etc.
Most people do not use the load connection on the charge controller.
Your RV battery charger will work fine with the solar charge controller
