The load connections are designed for low amperage not for connection to dc panel. Whatever load placed on the controller subtracts from the charging going to the battery.
Connecting the solar directly to the battery when unplugged from AC will charge the battery and the battery will supply dc to the dc panel. When plugged into AC the Converter will supply dc to the panel and charge the battery in addition to the solar controller. They will work together
