Duh.
I forgot about white peel-n-stick caps from IKEA that I already have laying around somewhere.
Still need to put some trim on exposed plywood seems on the ceiling - where I shortened the cabinet. But this is a different matter. They used some thin slats like 7/8 x 1/8 but I don't see it in Home Depot.
