  • That is what we need. Where did you get the lights. Wired in from the original lamp wire? Looks nice!!
  • Wiring is all from original switch from stove I believe one screw needs to be removed from stove to gain access to wires and drill two holes for wires... LEDs are from walmart boating section installed with self tapping screws into top of hood being carefull that the screws land in void in cabinet... Less than thirty min install and crisp white light...
  • nice, but I like the dim crappy one that it came with...makes a good night light
  • Dumb question I guess, but are the fan and lights on the Range Hood 12 Volt?
  • Do you see having any problems with the lights melting from the heat of the cook top? That would be my only concern. I don't know if the original light that comes with these hoods are anything special like high heat resistant. I like the mod and will be copying.
  • To answer the question simply its only been in service one complete season of stove top and oven use... I know our use is simple baking biscuits and frying bacon mostly... I did this mod in the spring this year and noticed no cracking or heat checking in the acrylic lens covers... Hengs oem lens cover is plastic and also the filter retainer are located closer to the stove top heat source...

Answer#1 not a silly ? but yes most RV lighting and fans are 12v...
