this IS what most of us do.
Only I go to lowes and pick up sun shade material, and a grommet kit for 2 bucks, and a box of S - hooks for RV awnings. The type with the rubber slide on it.
You can choose whatever color sun shade matches your awning or RV. It comes in beige, brown, green etc. I just happen to like it better than the black. The colored ones look much nicer.
Use grommet kit to put holes and metal rings on the top and bottom.
Use s-hooks to hang from awning.
Attach bottom with small camping spikes with or without small bungies.
Done! :C
