I want to get a surge protector and I am considering one that is installed permenently. How difficult would that be for someone to do? I have no background as an electrician.
I would most DEFINITELY hire a
RV mobile Repair Guy. NOT a residential electrician. They know nothing about RV electric.
Call a local CG in your area and ask who they use for Mobile Repair. They will come right to where ever your RV is whether its at a CG or at your house. They can also get the parts for you if they don't already have one on board.I paid a licensed residential electrician ONCE to work on my RV and shore station at my house even explained to him with diagrams about the RV not being 220 and he still wired it wrong. Cost me 3,000 in repairs.
Just saying RV Mobile Repair is IMHO the only way to go AND it will be less expensive for them to do it and do it right!
