The latest iteration of the Hughes Autoformer does everything the PI top of the line does--except for cutting the power. Of course, there is no need for it to cut power as it corrects the low voltage issue.
My comfort zone is no lower than 107 volts for the roof air. Neither the PI or SG cut out at that voltage.
I choose to test every outlet before I plug in, so I have no need of the "extra" services that the PI and SG offer. Plus their reliance on MOV for surge means that sooner or later they will require repair.
The Hughes does cost more--but replacing an air conditioner is fairly pricey.
